Bergen – Moster – London

This epic adventure starts on 30th May where Sigurd Jorsalfar started his own, in the harbor in the city of Bergen.

Lisbon – Ibiza

We depart from the port of Lisbon early on 28th June and begin our journey by passing beneath the ‘25 de Abril’ bridge.

Ibiza – Palermo

Following 3 days of sand and sun set sail on 7th July to in the direction of the rising sun – eastwards.

Palermo – Limassol

On the morning of 16th of July we’ll set sail southwards again, in the wake of Paul, the carrier of the Gospel to the Gentiles.

A new generation

King Sigurd was only eighteen years old when he went on this journey, and together with him were an army of young people. Likewise, we want to send out a younger generation of visionaries, with a common wish to make the world a better place as God’s ambassadors for good.

The Ship

The SS Christian Radich is one of three Norwegian school ships, built for training sailors for the Norwegian merchant navy. The ship is viewed by many as one of the world’s most beautiful tall ships. It has a capacity of 75 passengers.

Good deeds

As young ambassadors for good, we will seek to bless the port cities on our way to Israel with good deeds.

For this reason, we will partner with organisations such as Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and collaborate with local churches. In each of these European cities, we plan to share the peaceful message of the gospel and bring a practical demonstration of blessing.

The journey

The journey from Bergen to Haifa is estimated to be about 2 months, with stops in 7 harbours on the way. The travel route mostly follows the historical route that King Sigurd took:

The first stop is in Moster in Norway, followed by London (England), Santiago (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), whereat we enter the Mediterranean and on to Ibiza (Spain), Palermo, Sicily (Italy), Limassol (Cyprus) and finally to Haifa (Israel). From Haifa, we travel to Jerusalem.
